HELENA MCINERNEY

Helena most recently appeared in multi-award-winning shorts JAMBITE and NOISE and is currently filming a feature film MANHUNT on location in Wicklow.  She has been cast to play the lead role in an exciting Irish feature film PHOENIX currently in pre- production. She played a pivotal character in a feature film SPA WEEKEND currently competing at International Film festivals.  Key stage credits include starring in SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH, ME AND MAMIE O’ROURKE and NORMAL.

 Helena studied the full-time program in Film, TV, & Theater Studies at the legendary Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York, where she was under the direct guidance of Lee Strasberg’s teaching partner, Irma Sandrey. Previously she studied under the renowned acting teacher Uta Hagen at Herbert Berghof (HB) Studio also in New York.  Since returning to Dublin, Helena is training in screen combat at The Lir Academy, having also completed training at Bow Street with Cathy Brady and Gerry Grennell.
